VN 18/46 - Meteosat Spacecraft Operations Manager

Reporting to the Head of the Flight Operations, the Meteosat Spacecraft Operations Manager manages the operations of the Meteosat space segment, currently consisting of a fleet of four Meteosat Second Generation (MSG) satellites. He/she will be responsible for the management of the health and safety of the fleet, its exploitation for the delivery of operational products and services to users, maintaining the continuity of operational services. He/she will also support operations preparation for the next generation Meteosat Third Generation system to be deployed in 2021-2023, and will manage the operations of its space segment after transition into routine operations.

VN 18/49 - EPS-SG Instrument Management Engineer

EUMETSAT is currently developing the EUMETSAT Polar System of Second Generation (EPS-SG) that includes three successive pairs of Metop-SGA and Metop-SGB satellites developed and procured through ESA. The first pair will be launched in the 2022 timeframe. Two instruments of the Metop-SG satellites (IASI-NG and METimage) are developed and procured by CNES and DLR under cooperation agreements with EUMETSAT and provided to ESA under EUMETSAT responsibility. The other instruments are developed under ESA responsibility. Reporting to the EUMETSAT Instrument Team Leader and based on interactions with ESA, CNES and DLR, the EPS-SG Instrument Management Engineer will follow-up the development of the Metop-SG instruments in relation to the satellite AIT programme, assess development issues and their implications, and provide instrument management support to satellite and system commissioning and operations.

VN 18/56 - MTG Ground Segment Engineer

EUMETSAT is currently developing the Meteosat Third Generation (MTG) satellite system in cooperation with the European Space Agency (ESA) for deployment in the 2021-2025 timeframe. EUMETSAT is directly responsible for the development of the overall system, including the MTG ground segment, while ESA develops the space segment. Reporting to the MTG Ground Segment (GS) Manager of the Geostationary Programme Division (GEO), the MTG Ground Segment Engineer will support the coordination of technical work associated with the development of the GS until its handover to the Operations Preparation Team, and then provide post-delivery support to the operational validation of the GS and the commissioning of the successive versions of the MTG satellite system involving one MTG-I satellite, one MTG-I and one MTG-S satellite, and a pair of MTG-I satellites and one MTG-S satellite.
